This exercise is a combination of geometric and environmental optimisation. The goal is to get as many sun inside on the floor of the canopy. Therefor i use the vectors of the sun from different hours from every month of the year. I optimise the the size of the planar openings with a specific limitation of area that is open and the height of the structure which is preset to a specific volume. To optimise i populate points on the structure and project them among the vector on the ground. With Galapagos i minimise the points that being projected inside the structure. This exercise is a combination of geometric and environmental optimisation. The goal is to get as many sun inside on the floor of the canopy. Therefor i use the vectors of the sun from different hours from every month of the year. I optimise the the size of the planar openings with a specific limitation of area that is open and the height of the structure which is preset to a specific volume.
