After that I made cylindrical structures on each of the nodes of the base geometry, reaching upwards to the roof. The evolutionary optimization was used to figure out which configuration of the construction would let in the most sunlight hours (fitness Criterion). For the genomes I used the radius of the construction, as well as the placement.The radius differed between the 1 and 5. The location of a structure would be randomly generated since a random 10 nodes were left free, creating space for optimization.

Design Objective

For the assignment for a structure was designed for the canopy, as a base geometry I used the canopies made in the Tutorial, however I took the geometry which let in the maximum amount of sunlighthours. After that I made cylindrical structures on each of the nodes of the base geometry, reaching upwards to the roof. The evolutionary optimization was used to figure out which configuration of the construction would let in the most sunlight hours (fitness Criterion).
